CAP3 is a professional services firm that runs the accounting and marketing functions for small and medium-sized businesses across the country. Our clients don't hire a bookkeeper or an agency — they hand us the keys to critical pieces of their business and trust us to run it well. We have an exceptional service track record and a client base built almost entirely on referrals. Now we're ready to grow intentionally — and we need our first dedicated business developer to make that happen. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

This is a hunting role. You'll be given a nationwide territory along with a few strategic target locations and industries. From there, you’ll design your approach. Your job is to find business owners and leaders who would benefit from having an expert accounting or marketing team on retainer, build the relationships that get you in the room, and close recurring service agreements. You'll also be building a referral network of the professionals — bankers, attorneys, CPAs — who already advise those business owners every day. 

 

Our services are flat-fee and recurring, ranging from $3,000 to $20,000 per month. No complicated compensation structure. No ambiguous metrics. You close clients, you get paid. 

 

 YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU:

  • Have 5+ years of B2B sales experience and a verifiable track record of closing new business 

  • Are comfortable walking in cold and coming out with a meeting 

  • Can earn credibility with a business owner in the first three minutes of a conversation 

  • Have experience selling recurring or subscription-based services — or can articulate why the model makes sense to a prospect 

  • Don't need a manager to keep you moving 

  • Have existing relationships with business owners, leaders, and professional advisors (bankers, attorneys, CPAs) — or know how to build them fast

 

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Base salary of $60k 

  • Commission on first-year contract value of every deal you close — uncapped! 

  • Performance bonuses tied to MRR milestones you'll actually hit 

  • On-target earnings of six figures for a rep performing at plan 

  • The ability to build a sales function from the ground up — and grow with it 

 

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

We expect the right person to close their first client within 8 weeks of joining and reach a pace of 2–3 new clients per month by month three. If you hit $80K–$100K in monthly recurring revenue by the end of year one, you'll have hit a home run — and you'll be compensated accordingly.
