The Business Development Director (Non-Federal) position is responsible for improving the CSI brand market position to ultimately assist with achieving financial growth for the CSI brand. Responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers in the non-federal restoration services segment; building market position by identifying new clients; and identifying new business partners with the goal of becoming a subcontractor of choice achieve financial growth for the CSI brand. The position will focus on the Eastern US region (ME to FL). 

 

The position is US based remote but will require significant (up to 75+%) travel within the Eastern US region.

 

Salary Range: $150,000-175,000/annual

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Maintain, foster, and grow strong relationships with existing CSI brand customers
  • Identify and develop new business partners and potential deals
  • Maintain a tracking system for identifying business partners and potential opportunities
  • Protect and develop the organization's image by embodying professional demeanor and practice in all business dealings, reflecting the highest standards for ethics, honesty, and integrity
  • Increase technical knowledge of the business line by working with the operational staff to understand the breadth and limitations of the work that can be performed, which will allow for more effective positioning with existing and new business partners
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or other appropriate field and with a minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in non-federal business development
  • Strong knowledge of non-federal restoration services contracting markets in the Eastern US region
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and professionally with the Chief Business Development Officer, Director of Business Development, other Business Development Directors, and other senior staff to meet objectives
  • Must reflect high standards of ethics, honesty, integrity, and reliability
  • Solid platform skills, to include in-person and remote presentations, including telephone and video conferencing
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, make decisions, solve problems, and exercise good judgment
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills
  • Self-starter, requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel frequently within the United States, up to 75%+ (3+ weeks per month)

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather; walking over rough and uneven surfaces; and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including, but not limited to, hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.

Working Conditions:

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.   Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
