We’re looking for a Business Development Director to lead the expansion of TBS and the wider SSL business. In this role, you’ll build and qualify a strong pipeline of opportunities, drive strategic sales to new and existing clients, and take ownership of closing deals. You’ll work collaboratively with Strategic Sales and delivery teams to ensure success, while influencing and managing the strategy for your area of the business.

This is a senior leadership position where you’ll combine market insight with commercial acumen to develop and implement plans that deliver sustainable growth. If you’re passionate about creating value, building long-term partnerships, and driving results, we’d love to hear from you.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with client travel and occasional travel to our London office.

What you will be doing:

  • Contribute to shaping and delivering the sector growth strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline by identifying prospects, developing opportunities, and progressing them through all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships, working collaboratively with internal teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and share market insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Create compelling proposals and value propositions that meet customer needs and company objectives, following agreed governance processes.
  • Promote a collaborative culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and working across teams to deliver results.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or client management role, with a track record of delivering results.
  • Strong understanding of one or more relevant sectors: financial services, energy, utilities, or central government.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to develop solutions and engage confidently with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience in Business Process Outsourcing (BPS), including understanding of service delivery models and client engagement within this space.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach, working effectively across teams and fostering a positive, inclusive culture.
