The Brand Manager is the business/P&L owner responsible for key brand segments to help MegaFood achieve short and long-term company growth and profit objectives. The position leads business and marketplace assessments to execute initiatives that drive consumer penetration, develop awareness and conversion driving go-to-market plans, and help build consumer advocacy for the MegaFood brand. Additionally, the position is the 5P strategy owner, including claims and product renovation recommendations, and serving up segment specific innovation opportunities. This position will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the brand & segments remain relevant to consumers and that all activities support brand and segment priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leverage knowledge of consumer, category, and brand to continually identify and recommend business-building initiatives which deliver against the company's business and marketing objectives.
Partner with Ecomm leads to brief and support the creation of best-in-class Ecommerce content.
Lead routine analysis of the brand, key initiative, competition, category, customer, and consumer. Synthesize key findings and indications which enhance brand and company performance. Including all company Monthly Business Review.
Develop commercial plans to drive conversion, including digital advertising, social, PR, Ecomm, and shopper marketing in partnership with Integrated Marketing, Shopper Marketing and Ecomm leads.
Maintain a thorough understanding of internal brand metrics, such as sales and profit, and Omni-Channel sales performance to contribute to sales projections and financial planning. Lead brand segment forecasting for monthly S&OP process and AOP process.
Evaluate portfolio and marketplace in segment deep dives to develop strategic recommendations for line extensions and innovation to ensure MegaFood’s penetration growth and strengthen brand equity while maintaining margins.
Leads the identification of product renovation opportunities in partnership with R&D, Nutrition Science, Regulatory, and Operations focused on formulation improvements to enhance product proposition and consumer satisfaction.
Lead, in partnership with Innovation and IMC Lead, new item GTM plans and integrated marketing support.
Communicate regularly with the Retail Sales and Ecomm Sales to ensure that marketing programs are properly implemented and drive synergies with Channel priorities.
Maintain consistent communication with Field Sales to stay close to retail needs for customer reviews and other strategy and insights requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong analytical skills with experience in driving the P&L and delivering business insights from syndicated point of sale data (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, etc.).
Ability to “think like an owner” with a strong bias for action.
PHYSICAL OR WORK REQUIREMENTS
Primarily performs work in an office or remote environment and requires extended periods of sitting, computer use, and verbal communication. Physical activity is generally limited to occasional standing, walking, repetitive keyboard and mouse use, and light lifting of office materials or equipment up to 10–15 pounds. Employees may occasionally travel or attend meetings in varying office or customer environments.

SALARY RANGE
National Target Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $166,000. The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $110,000 - $184,000 to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
