Book Designer

A leading publishing company is seeking a Book Designer to join their team. This 2 year contract role will be an onsite schedule from Monday to Thursday and Friday will be remote. The ideal candidate will have trade book publushing experience. *Application deadline for this role is 10/07/2026.* *Book Designer Responsibilities:* * Transform initial concepts into visually engaging book layouts for various titles. * Collaborate with art directors, editors, and production managers throughout all phases of book creation. * Prepare and format files for printing, including making corrections and creating mechanicals. * Develop and present innovative cover and interior designs for review. * Ensure production schedules are maintained and projects are delivered on time. *Book Designer Qualifications:* * Minimum of 3 years of experience in book design, especially in trade publishing. * Demonstrated talent in layout, typography, and color application. * Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Effective verbal and written communication skills suitable for presenting ideas and collaborating with team members. *Perks and Benefits:* * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. * Life Insurance. * 401(k) Program. * Commuter Benefit. * eLearning and Ongoing Training. * Education Reimbursement.
