About CIPC
For 30 years, the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) has been a leading advocate for immigrant communities across California, advancing policies that promote racial, social, and economic justice. Founded in 1996 in response to federal cuts to public benefits and protections for immigrants, CIPC was created to ensure that immigrant communities had a strong statewide voice capable of shaping policy and driving systemic change. Today, CIPC is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that engages in advocacy, organizing, and strategic communications to build collective power and advance a more just and inclusive California.
Working alongside immigrant communities, policymakers, and coalition partners, CIPC has helped lead some of the state's most significant immigrant rights victories, including the Safe and Responsible Driver Act, the TRUST and TRUTH Acts, the California Values Act, Health for All, the California Earned Income Tax Credit, and One California—the nation's largest state investment in immigrant legal services and protections. As California continues to shape the future of immigrant inclusion, CIPC remains committed to advancing policies that ensure all people can thrive with dignity, safety, and opportunity.
