We're growing and seeking a Billing Clerk to join our team and support the backend billing processes that ensure our clients are served accurately and efficiently.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, detail, and processes. As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting clients in understanding our billing process, ensuring all boxes are checked when a new client engages the firm, managing and updating a variety of internal spreadsheets, amongst other vital tasks. You will join and work closely with our billing team to support accurate client billing and assist in client billing communications.
While legal experience is not required, familiarity with the professional services environment (especially law firms) and an understanding of confidentiality practices is preferred.
Requirements
- Onboarding new clients including reviewing the billing process and policies and ensuring all billing requirements are met.
- Ongoing client assistance to update and maintain payment methods and access to payment links.
- Assist in client questions regarding process, policy and general bill understanding.
- Strong ability to stay “one step ahead.”
- Inbound call and request triage.
- Assist in reviewing bills and ensure narratives conform to the firms narrative requirements and are accurate for clarity and compliance.
- Support the Billing Team as needed.
- 1+ years of experience working with Clio
