Bilingual Virtual Tutor

Here at LearnWell, we’ve dedicated ourselves to making a life-changing impact on the 10 million students currently in the U.S. who live with some type of behavioral health need (depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, eating disorder, substance use). For over 26 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom. We also are able to provide 1:1 virtual academic tutoring assistance to students who are homebound and out of school for an extended period of time.

LearnWell is looking to add to our talented group of teachers and bring on a part time certified teacher to assist with our growing need for virtual instruction. We are specifically looking for a virtual teacher who is bilingual and can tutor in all four core subjects - Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. Special Education background is preferred but not required. These certified teachers will provide 1:1 academic instruction virtually with students.

The teacher’s main responsibility is to act as an aide for the student, guiding them through educational material and ensuring their academic success. Our teachers will be responsible to independently operate their classes within our virtual platform, Blue Jeans. Teachers will be able to receive curriculum prior to the scheduled sessions, so there is plenty of time to prep and get prepared with the given material.

Essential functions:

• Prep daily curriculum and guide student through each lesson
• Provide one-on-one remote support to students using provided technology to conduct session
• Encourage and monitor the progress of students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Create daily session reports for each student on our company’s database- Salesforce
• Professional communicate with students, districts, parents, and direct supervisors

This is a 100% remote position that will require an individual to have reliable internet connection within their home/work space. This is a part time hourly position, up to 20 hours a week, Monday- Friday. Ideally teachers will have consistent availability sometime between 9:30-4:30pm EST, however we see students between 8AM and 8PM EST. You will be compensated for both the session and set administrative time each day. Position has great growth opportunities to become full time if desired.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
• Teaching Certification
• Bilingual 
• Comfortable working accompanying academic levels
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need
