Job Title: Battery-Electric Machine Technology Manager
Location: Homebased
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a Battery-Electric Machine Technology Manager to support the rollout, operation and optimisation of our growing battery-electric machinery portfolio. You will act as the technical lead for this evolving area, providing high-level expertise, resolving complex issues, and working closely with Product Support, engineering teams and customer support centres.
You will also play a key role in developing and delivering specialist training, helping to build capability across the business as we transition to cleaner, smarter technology.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing expert technical support on battery-electric and hazardous-voltage systems
Diagnosing and resolving complex issues across heavy equipment
Developing and delivering specialist training on battery-electric machines and charging systems
Supporting the planning and deployment of charging infrastructure and site readiness
Acting as the subject matter expert for battery-electric technology
Coaching and mentoring colleagues to strengthen technical capability
About You
You will bring strong technical expertise alongside the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. With a proactive approach to problem-solving, you will be confident supporting both colleagues and customers in a fast-evolving technical environment.
You will have:
A technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive or Plant engineering
Hazardous-voltage safety/competency certification
Experience working with construction or heavy equipment (electric or hybrid preferred)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
The ability to develop and deliver effective technical training
Knowledge of charging infrastructure and site requirements
