The Mission

Build the data backbone that powers billion-dollar decisions at world-leading companies. We're looking for a Backend Engineer to architect and evolve the content systems that handle millions of market research documents and enable strategic decisions at the world's largest brands.

Your mission is to grow our robust, scalable content foundation that enables seamless access to business-critical content through APIs and reliable processing capabilities that other teams build upon.

Our platform processes a massive amount of market research documents and data points, powering intelligent workflows for the core work our users do at global brands.

What You’ll Do

Transform how Fortune 500 companies access their research intelligence:

• Connect diverse ecosystems: Build and maintain robust integrations that seamlessly ingest content from diverse enterprise systems

• Design for scale: Create content processing systems that handle millions of documents while maintaining low API response times

• Enable AI innovation: Build the data models that power our AI brain's ability to synthesize insights across massive content libraries

• Set the technical foundation: Establish patterns, standards, and interfaces that enable product teams to rapidly build customer-facing features

• Optimize for performance: Ensure reliable, performant content systems across all ingestion channels

What We Need

• Back-end expertise: Strong experience designing and building distributed systems and handling large-scale content processing. We care more about your engineering fundamentals than any specific language or framework

• Cloud-native mindset: Hands-on experience running services in modern cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar), with containerization and infrastructure as code. Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices is important

• Integration mastery: Proven track record of building reliable APIs and integration patterns for diverse data sources and formats

• System thinking: Ability to design scalable, maintainable data models that empower other teams to build on top of them

• Collaboration & curiosity: Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, with a curious, innovative mindset that thrives in cross-functional teams with product and design

• Nice to have: Experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, exposure to front-end development (React/TypeScript or similar), deeper familiarity with AWS services

The salary range for this role depends on location and will proactively be shared with you in the first interview.
