Automation Tester

Looking for a candidate with minimum 3 years of experience as Selenium/Playwright Automation Engineer expertise in Java/Python, strong knowledge of Desktop Applications process automation (e.g, Excel Access database operations), and basic knowledge of SQL and experience in manual testing

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated test scripts using selenium WebDriver, Playwright, pytest and cucumber and integrated desktop application workflows into end-to-end automation and generate comprehensive test execution reports using Extents reports/allure

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, Execute and maintain robust, scalable and high-quality automation scripts using Selenium, Playwright, java, Python and pytest.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks for UI, functional, regression and end to end testing 
• Automated processes involving desktop applications such as Excel, Text Files (using Apache POI or other libraries) and Access DB (e.g. JDBC/ODBC connections).
• Integrated desktop application workflow into selenium test scripts for end-to-end automation coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to gather requirements and ensure test cases align with business objectives.
• Design and execute test cases using Pytest including fixtures, parameterization, markers and reusable test components
• Implement and maintain BDD automation using cucumbers where applicable.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in test automation and the application under test.
• Continuously optimize test automation frameworks and processes.
• Hand-on experience with qtest for test case creation, test execution, test cycle management, defect tracking and test reporting
• Maintain clear and concise test documentation and reports.
• Stay up to date with the latest automation trends, tools and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Skill and Qualification:

• Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright using Java/Python for Web-Based automation. Experience with pytest for test development, execution and automation framework implementation
• Desktop Applications: Proficiency in automating processes in Excel, TextFiles (e.g., reading/writing using Apache POI or similar libraries) and Access Database (e.g., integrating with .accdb files using Java or other suitable tools).
• Programming Skills: 
• Integration Skills: Ability to integrate desktop application automation workflows with selenium and playwright scripts seamlessly.
• SQL Knowledge: Basic to intermediate knowledge/understanding of SQL for writing queries, validating data and performing backend testing.
• Problem Solving: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skill for test scripts and application functionality.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control like Git.
• Tools Knowledge: Experience with test management tools such as Qtest and AzureDevops Boards, automation frameworks including selenium, Playwright, Pytest, Cucumber, TestNG, Junit, reporting tools such as Allure Report, version control using Git and CICD tools like jenkins
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.                                                                      

Strong command of Java, python and its ecosystem, including libraries and frameworks for test automation. Handon experience with pytest for developing and executing automated test cases. Knowledge of BDD framework using Cucumber

Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
