The Associate Project Manager leads small to medium-scale projects and drives process improvements within the Global Compliance and Privacy organization. They are responsible for managing project infrastructure, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and implementing sustainable operational enhancements.
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for advancing process, project, and portfolio excellence across the Global Compliance and Privacy organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance PMO, this role sits within the Global Compliance Project Management Office and serves as a key partner in driving operational effectiveness while enabling strong business outcomes and managing risk across functions.
In this hybrid project management and process improvement role, the Associate Project Manager leads small to medium-scale projects, supports enterprise initiatives through the management of project workstreams, and develops and maintains project analytics, reporting, and management tools. The role also provides critical project coordination support, including facilitating meetings, developing agendas, documenting action items, and tracking deliverables to ensure successful execution.
Additionally, the Associate Project Manager evaluates Compliance processes, identifies opportunities for optimization, and partners with stakeholders to design and implement sustainable improvements on a global scale. This individual leads change management efforts, drives stakeholder engagement, and supports the adoption of new processes and ways of working. Responsibilities also include facilitating daily huddles and continuous improvement workshops, creating and maintaining process documentation, and coordinating cross-functional teams to promote collaboration, alignment, and operational excellence.
Project Management
Manage projects to achieve Compliance's strategic objectives, driving process improvements, business transformations, and technology innovations.
Develop and maintain project infrastructure, including project charters, plans, schedules, governance models, resource registers, budgets, RAID logs, and communication plans.
Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
Support resourcing allocation in program plans and assist with program gating processes.
Organize and facilitate project-related activities such as kick-offs, meetings, workshops, decision-making processes, communications, and stage gate reviews.
Assist in developing risk management plans, actively identifying, analyzing, and monitoring risks and issues, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Support project change management and communication activities.
Engage with project stakeholders, including sponsors, owners, managers, and external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic goals.
Coordinate with IT, Finance and other functions to ensure smooth project delivery
Develop improvement projects and ideas for processes. Engage cross-functionally to collect business requirements and convert into executable plans of action and processes.
Perform end-to-end process mapping to identify standardization and risk mitigation opportunities.
PMO and Program Support
Enhance the PMO function by developing project resources, tools, templates, systems, and governance to deliver predictable, sustainable projects.
Manage a portfolio of projects through monitoring, governance and metrics to measure success
Support the PMO's project methodology by mentoring colleagues on project approaches, tools, and resources to enhance organizational project management skills and outcomes.
Identify opportunities to contribute to other projects or programs to increase efficiency.
Implement project management best practices globally within the Compliance department.
Incorporate end-user feedback to refine project scope throughout the lifecycle and effectively communicate changes to stakeholders.
Required
Bachelor’s degree
6+ years of work experience
2+ years of experience working in a highly regulated industry such as MedTech, FinTech, Pharmaceuticals.
Preferred
2+Experience in project management. PMP/CAPM certification
Experience in process mapping or Lean Six Sigma certification
