ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, OMNICHANNEL STRATEGY & ACTIVATION - TRYNGOLZA

SUMMARY:

The Associate Director, Omnichannel Strategy & Activation – Tryngolza contributes to the development and evolution of the integrated customer engagement strategy across HCP and consumer audiences and leads the translation of that strategy into coordinated activation plans and execution, with accountability for the quality and effectiveness of activation within their scope.

Reporting to the Director, Omnichannel Integrated Experience & Engagement, the Associate Director serves as a senior strategic and executional partner, helping shape how customer journeys come to life across channels and functions. The role brings broad expertise and a strong strategic and customer perspective to channel planning, journey activation, content and experience requirements, cross-functional integration, and ongoing optimization. Working within the strategic direction established by the Director, the Associate Director independently leads defined activation workstreams, exercises judgment on significant and complex executional issues, and elevates decisions with broader strategic implications.

The role leads activation of the integrated customer engagement strategy, informed by brand strategy, across media, web, email, search, video, peer-to-peer, and other relevant channels, while connecting those experiences with broader customer touchpoints including Field, Access, Patient Services, Medical, Corporate Communications, Patient Advocacy, and other functions as appropriate.

Working closely with Marketing and Brand Strategy, the Associate Director ensures brand priorities, audience needs, and customer engagement objectives are translated into cohesive channel and experience plans. The role establishes effective cross-functional networks and partners closely with HCP and Consumer Marketing on content and asset development, with particular focus on ensuring UX, calls to action, channel context, and the intended next customer action support the broader journey.

The Associate Director also works closely with Omnichannel Operations, Analytics, Commercial Operations, and agency partners to ensure strategic intent is accurately represented through activation planning, business requirements, operational enablement, measurement, and execution. The role diagnoses dependencies and opportunities, develops and recommends solutions, and applies performance learning to continuously strengthen customer engagement and inform broader organizational priorities.

WORK LOCATION: remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Omnichannel Strategy, Journey Planning & Activation

  • Support the Director in the development and ongoing evolution of integrated HCP and consumer customer engagement strategies, bringing channel, customer, executional, and performance perspectives into strategic planning.
  • Own the translation of defined customer engagement, brand, audience, and journey strategies into actionable omnichannel activation plans, in close partnership with the Director and Marketing and Brand Strategy leads, ensuring channels and relevant customer touchpoints work together against shared customer and business objectives.
  •  Translate customer journeys into clear activation plans, including channel roles, audience needs, sequencing, timing, personalization opportunities, triggers, calls to action, and key dependencies.
  • Lead the translation of segmentation, behavioral signals, audience characteristics, and decision logic into channel-level activation approaches that enable increasingly dynamic and personalized engagement.
  • Diagnose gaps, overlaps, dependencies, and opportunities across customer journeys and develop recommendations in partnership with the Director and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure new channels and engagement opportunities are incorporated into the broader customer ecosystem rather than activated as standalone tactics.

Media, Channel & Content Partnership

  • Lead the planning and activation of integrated HCP and consumer media in alignment with the overarching media, customer engagement, audience, brand, and investment strategies set in partnership with the Director and Marketing.
  • Lead coordinated activation across relevant channels including programmatic media, paid search, SEO, GEO, social, online video, TV/CTV, point of care, email, web, peer-to-peer, and emerging channels as appropriate.
  • Work closely with HCP and Consumer Marketing and Brand AORs throughout content development to ensure channel assets effectively support the intended customer journey and activation plan.
  • Provide customer engagement and channel input into content briefs, with particular focus on customer experience, UX, calls to action, channel context, sequencing, and the desired next customer action.
  • Ensure channel-specific content and experiences remain grounded in approved brand strategy, message platforms, campaigns, and core assets while being appropriately adapted for the customer experience and activation environment.
  • Partner with Marketing, agencies, and media partners to identify content and asset needs early enough to support media plans, journey sequencing, and launch timelines.
  • Lead omnichannel activation planning for HCP peer-to-peer and opinion-leader engagement opportunities, congress-related activation, and other emerging engagement approaches in partnership with Marketing, Medical, Marketing Operations, and agency partners.
  • Partner with Marketing and agency teams as appropriate through PRC/MLR processes, ensuring customer engagement intent, UX, CTA, and channel requirements are accurately represented during review and incorporated into final execution.

Operational Enablement, Agency & Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Provide enabling teams with the strategic context and inputs needed for execution, and validate that resulting business requirements accurately reflect the intended customer engagement strategy, journey, and activation plan before build.
  • Own the provision of customer engagement and strategic context throughout the business requirements process, ensuring requirements accurately reflect the intended journey, activation plan, channel dependencies, and customer experience.
  • Lead the development and review of customer engagement requirements without owning technical implementation, partnering with Omnichannel Operations and other enabling teams responsible for configuration, build, deployment, and platform execution.
  • Identify cross-channel and cross-functional dependencies early and work with appropriate teams to facilitate alignment and timely execution.
  • Partner with Field, Access, Patient Services, Medical, Corporate Communications, Patient Advocacy, and other customer-facing functions to understand relevant initiatives and identify opportunities for greater connectivity across the customer journey.
  • Ensure functional experiences connect appropriately to the broader omnichannel ecosystem while respecting the strategy, responsibilities, and ownership of each function.
  • Maintain strong day-to-day partnerships with the omnichannel strategy agency, media agency, Brand AORs, analytics partners, and other agencies, providing clear context, expectations, feedback, and follow-through.
  • Own the identification and timely escalation of executional risks, gaps, resource needs, or decisions requiring escalation to the Director and relevant functional leaders.

Performance, Insights & Optimization

  • Ensure measurement needs are considered during activation planning so channel performance, customer engagement, journey progression, and high-value actions can be effectively evaluated.
  • Lead or coordinate routine tactical optimization across areas such as targeting, media delivery, channel mix, sequencing, flighting, retargeting, and other executional variables.
  • Use performance findings provided through Analytics and agency partners to identify near-term executional opportunities and distinguish those from broader insights that may have implications for audience strategy, journeys, investment, or future customer engagement strategy, elevating those findings to the Director as appropriate.
  • Lead Test & Learn initiatives by translating strategic hypotheses into executable tests, partnering with Analytics on measurement, and applying findings to future activation planning.
  • Provide Analytics and agency partners with visibility and context on channel strategy, activation, and execution to support the development and continued advancement of cross-channel measurement and attribution.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a master’s degree; or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare marketing, omnichannel/customer engagement, digital marketing, media, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of HCP and consumer digital engagement and media channels, including programmatic, paid search, social, online video/CTV, point of care, web, and email.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently translate broader brand, audience, and customer strategies into actionable channel and activation plans.
  • Experience partnering with Marketing and creative agencies on promotional content development, with strong understanding of digital UX, customer journeys, calls to action, and channel-specific content requirements.
  • Experience working with media agencies and cross-functional teams to plan, activate, measure, and optimize integrated customer engagement programs.
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical PRC/MLR processes and regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical orientation with the ability to interpret customer and channel performance and translate findings into actionable optimizations and insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex cross-functional dependencies, lead high-priority cross-functional initiatives, and work effectively across Marketing, Analytics, Commercial Operations, Field, Omnichannel Operations, Digital/IT, agencies, and other matrixed teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to provide context, establish clear expectations, influence partners, and maintain accountability without relying on direct authority.
  • Strong judgment regarding when to independently drive executional optimization and when to elevate issues, insights, or decisions with broader strategic implications, together with the ability to persuade diverse stakeholders in sensitive and complex situations.
  • Recognized as an internal subject matter expert in omnichannel activation and integrated customer engagement execution, providing expertise and influence across complex cross-functional initiatives.
