About Nightingale College

Nightingale College is a distance education nursing school with a singular purpose: expanding access to quality nursing education and, through it, transforming healthcare. We don't just train nurses — we build a high-impact community of learners, educators, and collaborators who are committed to changing lives. If you're driven by mission and energized by meaningful work, you belong here.

About the Role

NCLEX success isn't just a milestone — it's the gateway to every learner's future as a nurse. As an Assistant Professor I, NCLEX, you'll be the coach, strategist, and champion who helps Nightingale learners and graduates cross that threshold.

In this fully remote role, you'll work directly with PN, ASN, and BSN learners and graduates to identify knowledge gaps, build personalized learning plans, and guide them through every stage of NCLEX preparation. You'll bring innovative teaching methods, data-informed coaching, and genuine care for learner success to everything you do — all in service of Nightingale's mission.

What You'll Do

  • Support and prepare assigned learners to achieve NCLEX success through meaningful interactions, consistent communication, and customized learning plans — with a focus on those identified as at-risk
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain open communication throughout the coaching process, including grading and attendance tracking for assigned activities
  • Develop, outline, and facilitate scheduled study sessions and 1:1 coaching appointments
  • Complete initial and final evaluations for assigned learners and graduates, and make recommendations for transcript clearance
  • Attend NCLEX faculty meetings, participate in committees, and contribute to shared decision-making and faculty activities as required
  • Participate in the implementation of functional projects as they arise
  • Maintain certification records as required by accreditation, facility, or state board of nursing standards

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • MSN required
  • Availability and commitment to serve across all three academic semesters each calendar year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate preferred
  • Experience facilitating concept-based nursing education
  • Proficiency in at least one learning management system (LMS) — Canvas preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and other technology platforms used in online nursing education delivery
