Adelaide University Online (AUO) offers a range of 100% online degrees and aspires to be the best online education provider in Australia. Our programs are delivered across two distinct models:

Targeted at busy adults who need to juggle work, life and family commitments, AUO is making it possible for more people to integrate study into their busy lives and pursue their career goals. Each degree has been specifically designed for online learning and is delivered in an engaging and flexible way. Students can access academics and study support out of hours and on weekends, so they can get help when they need it.

Application Process:

  • Please view the available courses through the application form, to determine what area of work offerings are being made available for individual.
  • Ensure you meet the essential criteria – essential skills and experience listed below.
  • Note: This is a fully remote, flexible role with work conducted primarily outside standard Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm office hours.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake online teaching as part of the AUO teaching team
  • Apply disciplinary expertise to consult, facilitate discussions, mark assessment items, and provide feedback to students
  • Implement approaches that maximise the student experience and learning outcomes
  • Provide academic support, mentoring and advice to students
  • Act as the first point of response/contact in managing student issues or complaints

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional/industry work experience (10-week courses)
  • Minimum Masters or PhD (6-week courses)
  • Ability to undertake a range of teaching duties in an online environment
  • Ability to actively engage and educate a diverse student group
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use the necessary digital techniques and tools required for effective online teaching
  • Available to work outside of normal working hours, including weekends
