Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Professor is responsible for providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient clinical care while demonstrating excellence in patient care, professionalism, and clinical expertise.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or equivalent required.

• Licensed to practice medicine or eligible for licensure in Arkansas.

• Completion of neurology residency.

• Candidate must be ABPN board eligible.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient clinical care while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and clinical excellence.

• Participate in the epilepsy call schedule to ensure timely and effective patient care.

• Teach and mentor medical students and residents in both clinical and academic settings.

• Develop and participate in clinical and/or scientific research initiatives that advance the department's academic and research mission.

• Contribute to scholarly activities through the preparation and publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025.
