The Opportunity
SEIU's National Organizing Hub drives the central mission of our union to win for working people on the job, in our communities, and in our economy and democracy. The Assistant Director of Communications for Organizing sits on the Worker Power team and is responsible for developing and executing public-facing national, regional, and state communications strategy around SEIU's unionwide priorities and campaigns. As a key driver in our integrated structure, this role works closely with Assistant Communications Directors on the Movement Building and Culture Shift teams, as well as across disciplines and with SEIU locals and ally organizations, to win economic and racial justice for working people.
This role calls for a strong teamwork ethic, commitment to worker-centered movement building, and creative thinking.

Compensation & Location
Annual salary: $135,609 (Grade F). Based in Washington, DC, or anywhere in the USA. Work is generally performed in an office setting; job may require work in the field or other settings to complete assignments. Must be available for frequent travel with overnight stays, and long and irregular hours.
