Art Director — Photography Sourcing & Visual Direction

Our client's Brand & Marketing team is seeking a talented Art Director to elevate the visual experience across their Card site's Product Detail Pages (PDPs). This is a hands-on creative role focused on photography sourcing, image curation, and visual art direction for a key site component that sits at the top of the product page experience.

About the Work

The current Product Hero component on most PDPs relies heavily on text, leaving an opportunity to drive stronger brand expression and emotional engagement through intentional, high-quality imagery. This role will source and select photography — both from stock image libraries and the client's owned photography archive from recent shoots — to create a more visually compelling and on-brand entry point for card product pages.

What You'll Do

  • Source and curate photography from stock image libraries and client-owned photography assets for use in Product Hero component variants
  • Art direct and select imagery that aligns with the client's brand standards, visual identity, and emotional tone
  • Work within established component templates and image library frameworks
  • Apply photo editing and finishing to ensure imagery meets production-ready standards
  • Design and iterate within Figma, collaborating with UX and product teams on layout and visual hierarchy within the PDP component
  • Partner cross-functionally with brand, marketing, and UX stakeholders to ensure visual selections support both brand and conversion goals

  • You're comfortable navigating image libraries quickly and efficiently
  • You bring art direction sensibility to photo editing — not just cropping and resizing, but elevating

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in art direction, visual design, or a related creative role
  • Experience with big brands or top agencies
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop required)
  • Financial Experience is a plus
  • Experience with stock photography sourcing and/or working with owned brand photography assets
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and digital product environments
  • Ability to work efficiently within brand guidelines and component-based design systems
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual judgment, image curation, and digital design work
