Overview

Kemin Biologics is seeking a motivated Area Sales Manager to join our Sub-Saharan Africa Sales team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding our vaccine business - focusing on our live and inactivated poultry and cattle vaccines. You’ll play a key role in driving growth, building partnerships, and supporting customers across Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. In this role, you will report directly to the commercial director.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional business plans to drive market access, customer retention, and growth.
  • Set annual sales budgets and commercial strategies with leadership.
  • Achieve sales and margin targets through effective project execution.
  • Lead and coach regional sales team members to achieve and exceed their sales targets.
  • Identify, engage, and manage distributors to expand our sales network.
  • Analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key influencers in the region.
  • Represent Kemin Biologics at industry events and contribute to international portfolio development.
  • Coordinate with marketing and technical teams on field trials and customer support.
  • Support our partners with technical implementation of vaccines at customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (biology, veterinary medicine, chemistry, etc.) and 10+ years’ experience in Veterinary/Animal Health or related business; MS degree preferred.
  • Strong scientific curiosity and innovative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated by achievement.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English and French, with additional languages considered a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, online meeting platforms, and CRM tools.
