Location:  Home-office based position in Spain with approximately 50% travel to customers and partners across Spain, France, and Morocco.

Are you passionate about turning technical expertise into real-world customer solutions? As an Application Development Engineer, you will support our Mobility segment, working closely with leading automotive customers across Spain and Europe to develop innovative polymer solutions for current and future mobility applications. Combining your expertise in materials, processing technologies, and customer collaboration, you will play a key role in creating value across the entire value chain while helping shape the future of our product portfolio.

Your Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical expert for customers, commercial teams, and internal stakeholders within the mobility and automotive market
• Support customers in optimizing product performance, processing technologies, application development, and product approvals
• Investigate technical challenges and develop sustainable solutions
• Contribute to innovation projects and the development of new products and applications for mobility-related markets, including solutions based on recycled and renewable materials
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities and translate them into value-creating solutions
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Production in an international environment
• Build strong customer and industry relationships and represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events
• Share application and processing expertise across the organization to strengthen technical capabilities and customer support

About you

As the ideal candidate, you:

• Hold a degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Bring several years of experience in application development, technical service, product development, or a comparable customer-facing role
• Have a strong understanding of polymer materials and processing technologies such as injection molding, extrusion, or compounding
• Have experience in the automotive industry or other mobility-related applications
• Combine a customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and commercial awareness
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Enjoy working independently while building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
• Are fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages, particularly French, are a plus

While several years of experience are preferred, we also encourage applications from candidates with a strong technical background in polymers, automotive OEMs, injection molding, or related plastics processing technologies who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

We offer a competitive salary package aligned with experience, qualifications, and the local market. For graduates and early-career professionals, compensation starts at approximately €56,000 gross per year. Candidates bringing relevant industry experience in polymer applications, automotive OEM environments, injection molding, or application development can expect a higher compensation level commensurate with their expertise.
