About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Architect / Project Lead to join the team in a permanent, full-time role.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an architectural professional who enjoys working on multi-residential and mixed-use developments and is confident taking ownership of projects from post-Development Application (DA) approval through to completion, with minimal supervision.

 

You will play a key role in managing project documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring Construction Certificate (CC), Tender, and Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation is completed accurately and delivered within required timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on and lead multi-residential and mixed-use building projects in collaboration with internal and external team members.
  • Take ownership of projects from post-DA approval through documentation, tender, construction, and completion stages.
  • Manage and coordinate CC, Tender, and IFC documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate detailed architectural and construction documentation.
  • Ensure documentation is completed accurately and delivered according to project timelines.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve design, documentation, and coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge and construction detailing skills to project documentation.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a small team and other offices.
  • Support project compliance with relevant NSW planning controls, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Qualification in Architecture; professional registration is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in multi-residential and mixed-use design and constructionessential.
  • Strong experience delivering architectural projects through documentation and construction stages.
  • Proven experience delivering projects in New South Wales, Australia is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated construction detailing skills.
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder coordination experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously and confidently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills with a strong focus on meeting documentation deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team and collaborate remotely with other offices.
  • Good understanding of NSW planning controls, NCC, Australian Standards, and the Design and Building Practitioners (DBP) Act is highly regarded.

 

Tools & Software Knowledge

  • ArchiCAD — strong proficiency is essential, including 3D modelling and architectural documentation.
  • Microsoft Teams — comfortable collaborating and communicating with distributed teams.
  • Microsoft Office applications — working knowledge for general project coordination and administration.
  • Experience with other relevant architectural, documentation, and project collaboration software is advantageous.
