General Summary:

The Analytics Engineer is responsible for supporting the organizations’ ability to accurately report operational metrics and delivery of strategic insights. This includes building and maintaining reports, data models, and metrics. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency of delivered reports for business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to cross-functional teams, with a high attention to detail  
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings  
  • May coach and review the work of other team members
  • Builds, documents, analyzes, and communicates corporate metrics, KPIs, and reports to various leaders 
    throughout the organization
  • Develops and maintains data models and reports used by cross-functional teams for data analysis
  • Defines and builds metrics used for executive and operational reporting/insights
  • Analyzes various data related to business units and works to align findings with corporate goals
  • Defines and recommends changes to the existing reporting environment in alignment with business needs
  • Performs root cause analysis as a means of addressing data discrepancies. 
  • Provides insights through presentations to business leaders based on corporate data and reports
  • Adheres to development testing and deployment standards 

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable work area
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business needs and formulate solutions consistent with organizational 
    objectives.
  • Strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Strong knowledge of reporting design tools such as Microsoft BI stack and PowerBI.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of DBT

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location 
  • 0-10% travel may be required
