Ellucian is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative and agile Analyst for Colleague ERP to join our California Regional Development team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our California Regulatory releases for Colleague customers. You will collaborate across product management, development, QA, and support to drive requirements, validate features, and lead testing efforts—both manual and automated.
As an Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and software development teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into technical requirements and delivered through high-quality software solutions. You will own the end-to-end functional testing strategy, leveraging tools like Playwright for automation and SpiraPlan (or similar platforms) for test management. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our product releases and the satisfaction of our higher education customers.

Where You Will Make an Impact
Requirements & Analysis:
Analyze, document, and prioritize functional requirements for Colleague California Regulatories, translating them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria aligned with the product roadmap.
Test Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies across releases, including manual and automated functional testing at both system and feature levels.
Automation & Tools:
Implement and maintain functional automation test suites using Playwright. Record and manage test plans, cases, and results in SpiraPlan or similar test management tools.
Release Validation:
Lead validation efforts for each release cycle—reviewing designs, validating sprint deliverables, documenting defects, and ensuring all requirements are met before deployment.
Agile Collaboration:
Participate actively in story mapping, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization activities. Collaborate with UX, QA, and DevOps to ensure seamless delivery.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Act as Tier 2/3 escalation support for complex product issues, working closely with support, QA, documentation, and product teams to resolve problems efficiently.
Quality Assurance:
Promote best practices in change control, regression testing, and root cause analysis. Ensure continuous integration pipelines and release automation meet Ellucian’s standards.
Documentation & Communication:
Contribute to product documentation, knowledge bases, and release communications to support internal teams and customers.
What You Will Bring
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
ERP Expertise:
1-2 years of experience in ERP analysis, testing, or product ownership. Experience with Ellucian Colleague and California Regulatory is strongly preferred.
Testing & Automation:
Ability to lead both manual and automated testing efforts. Hands-on experience with Playwright and test management tools like SpiraPlan.
Agile & QA Practices:
Knowledge of agile software development, sprint delivery, and QA automation best practices.
Tools & Collaboration:
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, and other collaborative platforms. Strong skills in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and defect documentation.
Communication & Problem Solving:
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Release Support:
Experience supporting product releases in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
