Assignment Details
Locations:
- San Joaquin Delta College, 5151 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95207
- South Campus at Mountain House
- Manteca Center, Lodi, and remote (Zoom/WebEx)
Schedule:
- Assignments available 7:00 AM - 12:00 AM, 7 days/week
- Requests sent 24-72 hours in advance (typically)
- Respond within 24 hours to accept/decline
- Average 30-40 hours/week available district-wide
Required Qualifications
- RID Certified or Qualified
- Post-secondary ASL interpreting experience
- AA/AS Degree or higher (preferred)
- Proficiency in ASL, PSE, Signed English, and Oral interpreting
- Reliable internet for remote assignments
- Professional attire and conduct
What You'll Do
- Provide in-person or remote ASL interpreting services
- Arrive/connect 10 minutes before scheduled assignment
- Report absences or cancellations within one business day
- Maintain consistency with assigned students when possible
- Adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct
Compensation
- Regular, evening, weekend, and emergency rates available
- 2-hour minimum billing per assignment
- All costs included in hourly rate
