Amazon Advertising Specialist
ABOUT NEATO
Neato is a 2P eCommerce accelerator. We buy inventory from consumer brands and operate as their exclusive online retailer across Amazon, TikTok Shop, DTC, and Walmart. Advertising sits at the core of what we do — we're not running someone else's plan, we're running the plan on our own inventory. When ads perform, we sell through. When they don't, we eat it.
That alignment shapes how the advertising team works: high ownership, tight feedback loops, no wasted motion.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Amazon Advertising Specialist owns the day-to-day execution of paid media on a portfolio of assigned brands. This is a hands-on operator role — you don't set the strategy, you make it real. The Ad Manager sets direction; you own execution, daily reporting, and the health of your accounts.
You own a portfolio of brands as your primary accounts. You are the person closest to those accounts every day — you know what's spending, what's converting, what's drifting, and what needs attention before anyone else notices.
You work primarily in Xnurta (ai.xnurta), Neato's campaign management platform, and in the Amazon Advertising Console when needed. You are expected to be fluent in bid dayparting, bid optimizations, budget dayparting, keyword harvesting, negation, and campaign builds — and to run them without hand-holding.
HOW WE WORK — AI-FORWARD
Neato is an AI-forward company. We build with AI, we work with AI, and we expect the team to use AI tools daily to move faster and think sharper. This role is no exception.
✓ Stay fluent in modern AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, and category-specific tools, used as part of your daily workflow.
✓ Know when AI is the right tool — pattern-finding across large data sets, first-pass keyword research, drafting reports, sanity-checking work, accelerating analysis.
✓ Know when AI is wrong — hallucinated data, misattributed metrics, plausible-sounding recommendations that don't match the account, output that reads right but doesn't hold up under scrutiny. AI accelerates the work; it does not replace your judgment.
✓ Own the output — if an AI-assisted decision goes into a client account, you are accountable for it — not the tool.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Portfolio ownership
✓ Own your assigned portfolio — know their SKUs, seasonality, priority campaigns, and current strategy cold.
✓ Be the internal expert on account health — when the Ad Manager or Brand Manager asks “what's happening with this campaign?”, you have the answer already.
Campaign management & execution
✓ Build, launch, and maintain campaigns — Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, primarily in Xnurta.
✓ Work the levers in Xnurta — bid dayparting, bid optimizations, and budget dayparting; navigate the Amazon Advertising Console for reporting or tasks outside Xnurta's scope.
✓ Keep campaign architecture clean — proper targeting, accurate tracking, no orphan campaigns.
✓ Coordinate on creative assets — understand Amazon's ad creative specs and flag issues or opportunities with images, headlines, and video.
Budget pacing & spend management
✓ Monitor spend pacing daily — across every assigned account; flag deviation from target immediately.
✓ Make budget adjustments within approved thresholds — escalate larger decisions to the Ad Manager with a recommendation, not just a question.
✓ Project spend trajectories — end-of-day and end-of-month; proactively communicate underspend or overspend risk before it becomes a problem.
✓ Apply placement bid multipliers — Top of Search, Product Pages, per Ad Manager guidance.
Bid optimization
✓ Execute bid optimizations — per Ad Manager strategy across all campaign types.
✓ Identify over- and under-performing keywords — and surface recommendations with your point of view — not just a data dump.
Keyword management
✓ Run search term analysis — harvest high-performing terms into exact-match campaigns.
✓ Execute keyword negation on a strict cadence — established campaigns every 2 weeks; new launches every 1–2 days during the launch window.
✓ Support keyword research in Data Dive — niche and competitor identification prior to Brand Manager approval.
✓ Support Radar Rank setup and monitoring — once keyword strategy is approved.
Campaign launches
✓ Build full campaign structures — for new product launches per the approved launch brief.
✓ Set up every targeting type — auto, manual exact, manual phrase, manual broad, and product targeting campaigns per the plan.
✓ Implement negative keyword lists at launch — and monitor closely the first 1–2 weeks.
Daily reporting & communication
✓ Post a structured daily EOD update per brand — to the designated optimizations channel, every working day — actions taken, pending action items, no exceptions.
✓ Flag anomalies immediately — spend spikes, zero-impression campaigns, conversion drops, buy-box loss — don't wait for the next scheduled check-in.
✓ Maintain a clear change log — for every optimization, bid adjustment, or campaign edit: date, rationale, expected outcome.
✓ Participate in weekly strategy reviews — with the Ad Manager, and turn feedback into execution the same week.
✓ Escalate account concerns — with context and a recommended path forward.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
✓ Account health — spend pacing, ROAS/TACoS vs. target, and campaign coverage across your assigned brands.
✓ Execution quality — clean campaign architecture, accurate change logs, no missed negation cycles.
✓ Reporting discipline — daily EOD updates posted on time, every working day, structured and readable.
✓ Response time — anomalies flagged fast, escalations arrive with context and a recommendation.
✓ Account growth — your accounts grow under the strategy the Ad Manager sets.
WHAT YOU BRING
✓ Hands-on Xnurta experience — bid dayparting, bid optimizations, budget dayparting in ai.xnurta.
✓ Demonstrated Amazon PPC experience — managing Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display; Amazon Ads certification desired.
✓ Familiarity with the Amazon Advertising Console — for reporting and tasks outside Xnurta.
✓ Strong keyword fundamentals — match types, negative keywords, and search term analysis.
✓ Proven multi-account budget pacing — you can pace spend across multiple accounts simultaneously.
✓ Comfort with high-volume, detail-oriented work — executed accurately every day.
✓ Experience in a strategy-led environment — direction set by a senior team member, execution owned by you.
✓ Strong written English — for async collaboration with a US-based team.
✓ Comfort using modern AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, and category-specific tools, with clear judgment about when to trust the output and when to override it.
✓ Reliable internet and equipment — for sustained remote work.
