PSI works to promote awareness of and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing. PSI does this by providing direct peer support to mothers and families, training professionals, and building bridges to connect them.  

 

Postpartum Support International (PSI) is seeking a full-time, remote candidate with non-profit organizational experience to join its virtual team of staff and volunteers. This role focuses on supporting providers of color in the U.S. and its territories, specifically through the PSI Alliance for People of Color Program (The Alliance). This program is dedicated to assisting Black, Indigenous, and communities of color by providing language access to resources and cultural programming, and by enhancing the capacity of providers to serve these communities effectively.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating, supporting, and implementing similar initiatives. Reporting Structure: The PSI Alliance Partnerships Manager will report directly to the PSI Alliance for People of Color Director.

The pay for this position is $60,000.00 annually. 

 

Role Description and Essential Job Functions:

The PSI Alliance Partnerships Manager will support the PSI Alliance Director and PSI & Alliance teams in achieving the Alliance's strategic mission and goals by collaborating with internal and external organizations and community stakeholders to strengthen relationships with BIPOC-serving organizations, professional leaders, and community partners.  

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Community Partnership Development:

  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain partnerships with organizations aligned with maternal mental health, reproductive justice, infant health, advocacy, and health equity initiatives.
  •  Develop collaborative opportunities that support education, advocacy, leadership development, and community-based programming to support BIPOC communities. 
  •  Serve as a liaison between the Alliance and external stakeholders.
  •  Build relationships with hospitals, universities, nonprofits, public health agencies, and grassroots organizations.
  •  Create partnership engagement plans and maintain ongoing communication with partners.
  • Assist the Alliance team in identifying external partners and individuals that can support the educational and professional development opportunity initiatives.  

Outreach & Engagement:

  •  Coordinate outreach efforts to increase awareness of PSI & Alliance programs, training, membership opportunities, and events.
  •  Support recruitment and engagement of BIPOC professionals, students, advocates, and community leaders within the perinatal mental health field and maternal and infant health equity field.
  •  Facilitate relationship-building opportunities across local, national, and global communities.
  • Primary point of contact for external partnership inquiries and assisting the Alliance Director with strategy development for engagement.  
  • Gather feedback from community stakeholders to inform strategic direction and program improvement. 

Team Collaboration and Strategic Support:

  • Support internal PSI and Alliance team members with development of engagement strategies, educational opportunities, and outreach needs for BIPOC communities. (Membership, Social Media, etc.)
  • Contribute to planning and execution of educational programming and development, presentations, and membership engagement activities.  

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain partnership records, outreach tracking, and engagement data.
  • Timely updates and reports to the Director on outreach activities, outcomes, and barrier identification.
  • Participate and contribute to PSI and Alliance internal meetings and activities.  
  • Gather and disseminate timely community and partnership feedback 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Communications, Nonprofit Leadership, Community Development, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, partnership development, nonprofit leadership, maternal health, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial equity, reproductive justice, maternal and infant health equity, and culturally responsive practices.
  • Strong understanding of perinatal mental health and challenges impacting BIPOC communities preferred.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively across diverse communities and sectors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and partnerships simultaneously.
  • Experience with program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and strategic outreach.
  • Proficiency with virtual communication platforms and basic project management systems
