Position Summary

The All-Source Intelligence Analyst provides on-demand, comprehensive, and decision-relevant intelligence research and analysis in support of United States Government requirements concerning counternarcotics, transnational organized crime, illicit trafficking, and other illicit activities within, originating from, transiting through, or otherwise impacting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The analyst serves as a dedicated research and production resource designed to reduce the research burden on Government intelligence personnel with limited analytic bandwidth. The position rapidly identifies, collects, evaluates, correlates, and synthesizes information from open-source and available multi-intelligence sources into concise, authoritative, and appropriately sourced intelligence products.

The analyst operates through a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)-aligned analytic lens, integrating geospatial context and GEOINT tradecraft into research products wherever appropriate. Deliverables may incorporate ArcGIS-based maps, feature layers, geospatial datasets, story maps, dashboards, and other geospatial products to enable Government analysts and decision-makers to visualize relationships, patterns, locations, routes, networks, and areas of activity.

In addition to finished intelligence reporting, the analyst produces derivative structured data that can be ingested, queried, visualized, or further analyzed by Government personnel and analytic systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

A. All-Source Intelligence Research and Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive, on-demand research addressing USG intelligence requirements related to counternarcotics and other illicit activities within and impacting the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
• Fuse information from multiple intelligence disciplines and publicly available sources to develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant persons, organizations, networks, activities, locations, events, transportation routes, commodities, infrastructure, and associated relationships.
• Conduct research across disparate sources including law-enforcement reporting, diplomatic reporting, commercial information, media, academic sources, and other authorized intelligence sources, as available and appropriate to the requirement.
• Identify, evaluate, corroborate, and reconcile information from disparate sources.
• Distinguish confirmed information, assessed information, reporting, allegations, and information gaps.
• Develop analytic judgments supported by clearly documented sourcing and evidentiary chains.
• Identify relevant trends, patterns, anomalies, relationships, indicators, and potential intelligence gaps.
• Conduct research across both current and historical reporting to establish context, timelines, and situational awareness.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in intelligence analysis, international affairs, geography, GIS, political science, criminal justice, national security, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted where permitted.
• 3 years of applicable experience
• Demonstrated experience conducting intelligence, investigative, research, or analytical activities.
• Demonstrated experience conducting all-source and/or OSINT research.
• Demonstrated ability to research complex and ambiguous intelligence questions.
• Experience analyzing information concerning transnational organized crime, counternarcotics, illicit trafficking, or related national security issues.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of disparate information into concise analytic products.
• Experience working with geospatial information and GIS technologies.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent research requirements.
• Ability to produce high-quality products under compressed timelines.
• Ability to work effectively with Government intelligence analysts and other mission partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting USSOUTHCOM, the Defense/ Department of War, IC, DHS, DOJ, State Department, or other USG organizations.
• Experience with NGA or NGA-supported missions.
• Experience with GEOINT analytic tradecraft.
• Experience researching Latin America and/or the Caribbean.
• Foreign-language proficiency relevant to the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
• Experience with transnational criminal organizations, drug trafficking organizations, illicit finance, human trafficking, weapons trafficking, smuggling, maritime trafficking, or related illicit activities.
• Experience with link analysis, network analysis, entity resolution, or structured analytic techniques.
• Experience developing geospatial databases and intelligence layers.
• Experience transforming unstructured intelligence reporting into structured data.
• Familiarity with intelligence community data standards and analytic platforms.
• Experience developing ArcGIS dashboards, web maps, story maps, and geospatial datasets.
