The AI Software Developer will be a confident modern user of AI development tools like Claude Code, applying them thoughtfully across the SDLC and critically evaluating what they produce. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Software Developer to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, remote, and is a salaried position.
This is a remote position with the ability to work East Coast hours.
What You'll Do
Required
Build and maintain responsive, accessible frontends using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and jQuery, across both new applications and existing user interfaces
Develop backend services and APIs in .NET (C#) and Python (with Node.js where appropriate), working within established architecture and patterns, including microservices, event-driven components, and serverless functions on Azure Functions and AWS Lambda
Work with application data across PostgreSQL and MSSQL, including schema changes, query tuning, and integrations with upstream and downstream systems
Apply Claude Code and similar AI tools across the SDLC, including design, development, unit testing, and technical documentation, while critically evaluating AI-generated output
Own individual features end-to-end within your area: requirements refinement, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support
Integrate custom applications with enterprise platforms such as Workday and Salesforce using their APIs, events, and supported integration patterns
Deploy and operate your workloads on Azure and AWS, following the team's observability practices so issues surface quickly and recovery is fast
Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate builds, tests, security scans, and deployments across environments
Partner with the Team Lead and Business Analysts to refine requirements and scope the features you own
Work within a Scrum methodology, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
What You'll Need
3+ years of professional software development experience building production applications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Solid backend development experience with .NET (C#) and Python. Familiarity with Node.js is welcome
Working experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL and/or MSSQL
Hands-on exposure to at least one major cloud (Azure or AWS) and to CI/CD, with a willingness to work across both
Familiarity with microservices, event-driven, and serverless concepts (Azure Functions and/or AWS Lambda)
Familiarity with application telemetry and observability (logs, metrics, traces, dashboards) using tools like Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, or Grafana
Day-to-day use of agentic AI coding tools, particularly Claude Code (or similar tools like Cursor)
Hands-on Scrum experience and proficiency with Jira for managing backlogs, sprints, and user stories
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Exposure to integrating LLMs into applications (agents, extraction), agentic systems, MCP-based integrations, or prompt design for LLM-powered features
Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
Familiarity with enterprise concerns: SSO, RBAC, PII handling, audit logging, and compliance.

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
