MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School diploma AND four (4) years of professional experience in project management, product management, healthcare IT operations or relatable IT experience.
OR
2. Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Product Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field AND two (2) years of professional experience in a related discipline.
OR
3. Master’s degree in a related field with one (1) year of professional experience in a related discipline.
4. Internal employees must meet all mandatory competencies in current position to qualify for promotion within IT.
To be completed as established by department: (Administered at Department level)
This position will require additional certification in support of the responsibilities of the position, which will be provided by WVUHS Information Technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. PMP, CSPO, PSPO, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent product/project related certifications
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience managing AI, machine learning, automation, analytics, digital transformation, or enterprise technology products.
2. Experience developing business cases, ROI analyses, value realization plans, and product roadmaps.
3. Experience working with AI governance, data governance, risk management, compliance, privacy, or security programs.
4. Experience working within Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or other product delivery methodologies.
5. Experience utilizing product management, project management, or portfolio management platforms such as ServiceNow, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

1. Manage the lifecycle of AI, automation, and vendor-provided AI technology products from intake through retirement.
2. Identify and prioritize opportunities for the portfolio based on stakeholder input, governance review, strategic value, risk, feasibility, and capacity.
3. Develop and maintain roadmaps by working with stakeholders to identify gaps and problem areas for products or features to solve.
4. Lead intake, discovery, and requirements gathering activities to develop business cases, ROI estimates, and success metrics.
5. Define requirements, identify risks, prioritize features, and coordinate implementation activities in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
6. Partner with cross-resource technical teams to ensure successful delivery and monitoring capabilities of products in the portfolio.
7. Perform market analysis on proposed vendor solutions to ensure the best organizational fit.
8. Coordinate evaluations, pilots, implementations, and product enhancements with stakeholders and product owners.
9. Ensure assigned products maintain compliance with established governance, monitoring, and review requirements throughout their lifecycle.
10. Present new product requests to AI governance in conjunction with AI and stakeholder leadership.
11. Monitor adoption, utilization, and performance metrics of all products on an ongoing basis to track realized benefits and ROI against established business objectives.

1. Familiarity with concepts such as model monitoring, responsible AI, explainability, human oversight, and AI risk management.
2. Ability to translate complex business, operational, and technical requirements into actionable product strategies and delivery plans for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Ability to prioritize competing demands and balance strategic objectives, operational needs, risk considerations, and resource constraints.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate opportunities, assess value, and support data-driven decision making.
5. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
6. Ability to identify adoption barriers and drive organizational change through effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement
7. Ability to develop business cases, evaluate tradeoffs, and communicate strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
8. Familiarity with data privacy, HIPAA, and PHI handling requirements in a healthcare environment.
