As AI Agent Engineer — Enterprise Automation & Microsoft Platforms, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the agents, automation, and enterprise data grounding that bring LATRO’s Artificial Organizational Intelligence (AOI) strategy into practical execution. This role develops scalable, production-grade AI and automation capabilities across IT and business functions using Microsoft-first platforms and patterns. Core duties include building and maintaining agent-based solutions, integrating AI capabilities through Microsoft technologies, enabling workflow automation, and supporting the disciplined evolution of LATRO’s enterprise AI operating model under defined governance, accountability, and autonomy tiers.
Role Purpose: This role exists to help LATRO move from isolated AI experimentation into governed, production-grade agentic and automation capabilities built on a Microsoft-first enterprise platform.
This role is expected to improve execution speed, reduce manual effort, strengthen governance, and accelerate the practical adoption of AI across LATRO’s operations.
The AI Agent Engineer reports to the Director, Information Technology and operates within the governance framework established by the Director, Information Technology and the AOI Implementation Committee. The role collaborates closely with the AOI Office, end-to-end (E2E) Process Owners, and stakeholders across Technology, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Employee Experience, and Finance to deliver technical and operational capabilities that strengthen LATRO’s globally distributed teams. This is a remote international role that can support GMT +5, but Amman, Jordan based candidates will be prioritized.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibility #1: AI Engineering and Solution Development
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled systems, agents, and automation workflows that support LATRO’s business and IT operations in line with the company’s AI doctrine and policies.
- Design, build, configure, and maintain AI agents and agent-enabled workflows using Microsoft platforms such as Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform, and related Microsoft services.
- Develop scalable, production-ready solutions using approved Microsoft technologies, AI services, and internal data sources.
- Write clean, maintainable, production-quality code to integrate AI capabilities, automate workflows, and support evolving business needs.
- Support the development of enterprise AI solutions that use grounded enterprise data, workflow orchestration, and Microsoft-native integration patterns to solve practical business and IT use cases.
- Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and improve deployed solutions to ensure reliability, performance, and business value.
- Support new development, enhancements, bug fixes, and continuous improvement of AI and automation capabilities across the company.
Core Responsibility #2: IT Automation, Systems Support, and Enablement
- Build and maintain automation, integrations, and digital solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Graph, and related services.
- Support the automation of IT administration processes such as onboarding, offboarding, identity lifecycle, access requests, and operational reporting.
- Monitor, diagnose, and optimize systems and workflows to improve performance, productivity, and user experience.
- Develop useful dashboards, reports, and insights related to Microsoft 365, Copilot, and automation usage and adoption.
- Train and support employees in the effective and secure use of Microsoft 365, Copilot, and automation-enabled tools and processes.
Core Responsibility #3: Security, Access Control, and Governed Execution
- Implement security, access, audit, and governance controls for AI-enabled and automated solutions in line with LATRO standards and approved operating frameworks.
- Support identity and access management, least privilege, approval controls, audit logging, and secure handling of enterprise data.
- Ensure AI and automation solutions are deployed with human oversight, rollback readiness, and appropriate documentation.
- Contribute to the implementation of information security policies, controls, procedures, and best practices aligned with Microsoft security and compliance capabilities.
- Any other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills
- Strong inclination toward operating within a Microsoft 365-native organization is a must-have, with solid hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Power Platform, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Graph, Azure services, Azure AI Foundry, and related Microsoft automation, development, security, and governance capabilities.
- Strong hands-on programming and engineering capability, with Python preferred for primary development, and required working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Power Fx, C#/.NET, and scripting such as Bash or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform, Microsoft Graph, and Microsoft 365 integration patterns for building agentic and automation-driven enterprise solutions.
- Experience building, integrating, or supporting AI-enabled, Copilot, or automation-driven solutions for practical business use cases, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic orchestration, enterprise data grounding, and agent or workflow-based solution patterns.
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals including version control, testing, debugging, deployment, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Advanced scripting, workflow automation, API integration, and system integration capability across Microsoft and related enterprise platforms.
- Solid understanding of relational data structures, databases, and data integration patterns, with the ability to support scalable and reliable enterprise solutions.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft security, compliance, and governance capabilities, including secure-by-design practices, access control, auditability, enterprise data protection, and IT administration best practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, IT/IS, automation, Microsoft platform engineering, or AI-enabled solution development.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, Security, or AI will be an advantage.
- Experience supporting a diverse, globally distributed team is strongly preferred.
