The Advance Procurement Engineer identifies future supply chain and technology requirements by aligning with the organization's 5-year product roadmap. This role acts as the primary interface for global supplier innovation and supports new product development through strategic sourcing and cross-functional collaboration.
The Advance Procurement Engineer is responsible for proactively identifying future supply chain, technology, and supplier capability requirements by deeply understanding the organization's 5-year product roadmap. This role partners closely with R&D, Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain leadership to translate future product needs into supplier strategies, technology scouting activities, and innovation partnerships. The position serves as the company's primary interface to the global supply base for emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and supplier-led innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
· 5-7 years spanning Engineering, Product Development, Supplier Development, Advanced Sourcing, Procurement, or Technology Commercialization.
· Demonstrated success introducing new technologies or strategic suppliers into product programs.
· MBA preferred.
Travel
· Occasional travel may be required (10-15%).

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· This position is an Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· This position is subject to sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Visual Acuity
· The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
