Adjunct - Applied Evidence-Based Project and Practicum – Online (Remote) – College of Nursing and Health Care Professions

Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking knowledgeable, mission-driven Adjunct Faculty to teach Applied Evidence-Based Project and Practicum online.

Learners participate in planned clinical experiences that refine professional competencies at the baccalaureate level and enable them to integrate new knowledge and enhanced skills to advance nursing practice. The evidence-based project provides learners an opportunity to identify a clinical nursing practice issue and propose a possible solution. Learners, under the guidance of faculty and approved preceptors, identify and analyze a nurse practice issue, develop a change project, and propose an evidence-based solution that reflects synthesis and integration of course content and professional practice.

What You Will Do

• Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and current industry technologies
• Maintain compliance with accreditation standards
• Model the holistic tenets of the nursing profession and uphold the University’s mission and pillars
• Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, assess student learning, and prepare students for leadership roles in health care
• Support program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the philosophy and direction of the University
• Provide a positive example by supporting GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission

What You Will Bring

• A Masters (or higher) in Nursing or a Bachelor's in Nursing with a graduate degree in a relevant health care discipline. Graduate degree must be from an accredited university.
• Relevant work experience in health care policy, nursing leadership, research, or nursing management preferred.
• Must have an active, current, unencumbered RN license with three (3) or more years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students.
• Proficiency in English, grammar, and APA writing.
• Commitment to modeling GCU’s mission and values.
