Accounting Associate - QA & Development

Contract | Remote (Boston-based)

Overview

Kickstart your accounting career or apply your experience in a flexible, project-based role. We’re seeking detail-oriented professionals to develop and review accounting content, including problems, solutions, and quality checks.

Responsibilities

Create accounting problems and exercises (financial and/or managerial)
Write clear, step-by-step solutions and explanations
Review and QA content for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
Verify calculations and accounting methodology
Follow project guidelines and meet deadlines

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
US Citizen with residency in Massachusetts or New Hampshire
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

Tutoring, teaching assistant, or academic support experience
3+ years of accounting experience (public or private)
CPA or progress toward certification
Background in math (statistics, calculus)
Experience with content writing, QA, or editing

Additional Details

Boston-based company, but 100% remote
Flexible schedule
Project-based workload (hours may vary weekly)
