About the role

We are hiring an Accountant to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the VP of Accounting. This is a remote role to support core accounting operations across several legal entities in our group of companies.

This role is execution-focused with clear ownership over bookkeeping, accounts payable, and financial reporting. You will operate independently within scope while collaborating closely with a lean accounting team. Success in this role means improving reporting accuracy, increasing operational efficiency, and enabling faster, more reliable financial decision-making.

What You Will Be Doing

• Own end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting processes across several legal entities

• Execute daily financial operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management in QuickBooks Online.

• Manage accounts payable workflows, including invoices, payments, adjustments, and vendor communications.

• Support and execute monthly close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

• Produce ad hoc financial reports to support internal stakeholders and leadership decisions.

• Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve reporting and reconciliation issues.

• Partner closely with the VP of Accounting to address existing reporting challenges and improve financial processes.

• Contribute to improving accounting workflows, reducing manual effort, and increasing reporting clarity.

• Leverage AI tools and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting processes.

• Maintain clear, consistent communication on deliverables, risks, and timelines.

What We Are Looking For

• 3 to 5+ years of accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GL, debits/credits, reconciliations).

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).

• Strong attention to detail and a track record of accurate execution

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

• Comfortable operating in a remote environment

• Experience using AI tools or automation platforms to enhance productivity

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Bonus Points

• Experience in fintech, crypto, brokerage, or trading environments

• Exposure to FX or multi-entity accounting structures

• Experience building or implementing accounting automations

• Background combining consulting (early career) with in-house accounting experience

• Familiarity with scaling accounting processes in high-growth environments
