SUMMARY
The Account Service Specialist II plays a pivotal role in executing a range of transfer agency duties, such as communication with external firms via email, reoccurring reconciliation processes, account and trade status review. This role involves moderate direct client engagement and a significant degree of collaboration with other operational teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate and assist with standardized technology integrations with external firms, supporting onboarding, implementation, testing, and ongoing operational readiness.
- Perform control reviews and data validation activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of information within internal systems.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate procedural documentation, process updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Execute recurring operational activities associated with Alternative Investment trading calendars and scheduled processing events.
- Reconcile external platform data, transaction records, and operational logs against internal reporting to ensure financial accuracy and data consistency.
- Research and obtain missing account information, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data gaps and support account onboarding.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, FinTech partners, and brokerage firms, addressing account-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve issues, support business processes, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Contribute to process improvement, automation, reporting, and other initiatives as needed to support team and organizational objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE
- Familiarity with operational standards, including SEC, IRS, and prospectus regulations.
- Understanding of retirement products such as IRA, Simple IRA, and other plans.
- Proficiency in mutual funds and alternative investment products.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
