Job Purpose:
The Account Manager is a primary liaison between the Sales Representatives and the Company. This position works the different departments within the Company, remittances, support, compliance and audit, to ensure that the agent meets the standards, criteria and expectations of a WFG agent. This position requires excellent communication skills.
Essential Job Functions:
- Engage in WFG company culture that emphasizes our 4 Cs, quality of work and high performance.
- Provide support to the Sales Representatives with activities related to all assigned accounts, specifically remittance processing, A/R clean up, E&O renewals and audit issues.
- Support the Sales Representatives, as needed, during customer visitations and presentations (on site and virtual).
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify and implement efficiencies in the remittance, audit and compliance processes.
- Effectively collaborate with Sales Representatives to promote WFG Blocks.
- Effectively collaborate with Sales Representatives to drive revenue and achieve/exceed territory sales goals.
- Provide support to Underwriting Counsel as needed.
- Liase between Support and the Agent regarding AMS needs, including: user log in issues, appointments and cancellations, executions of and amendments to Schedule A.
- Run and distribute outstanding inventory reports to the Sales Representatives once/quarter.
- Run and distribute a premium report to the team once/week.
- Depending on the region, may run and distribute a CPL report to the team once/week.
- Review the Aging Report weekly and clean up any credits or balances due.
- Work with Regional Manager on any refund and write-off requests.
- Support Sales Representative with regard to the distribution, processing and approval of new applications.
- Support Sales Representatives to track current opportunities and interactions through SUGAR updates.
- Depending on Region, monitor incoming calls and mail to office and disseminate, as needed.
- Depending on Region, monitor inventory of supplies, office equipment and collaborate with team as issues arise.
- Depending on Region, collaborate with Regional Manager to organize staff meetings and organize agenda items.
- Maintain and service any existing agents that may be assigned.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively prioritize projects and assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
- Strong organizational and planning skills for multitasking.
- Ability and confidence to develop original written language and correspondence for developing reports and proposals, as well as customer and field communications.
- Good people skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and dedication to completing projects on time.
- Positive attitude, high energy level, strong desire to interact directly with customers, high comfort level making presentations, and ability/willingness to work additional hours as job requirements and projects require.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong Oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and handheld devices.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
- Familiarity with software such as Zoom, BombBomb, and Bam!.
- 3-5 years experience in an active sales role.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Requirements/ADA:
No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Days and hours of full –time position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel:
Minimal travel may be required.
