We’re looking for a Graphic Designer (Volunteer) to support our growing marketing and communications efforts with strong, consistent, and engaging visual design.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys translating ideas into visuals, cares about brand consistency, and wants to contribute their design skills to meaningful social impact. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, copywriting, and event teams to bring our projects and campaigns to life.
Design weekly graphics for social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Create digital and print materials for events, workshops, and community activities
Edit photos as needed for campaigns and publications
Ensure all visuals align with our brand identity and guidelines
Maintain and organize our visual asset library
Apply brand consistency across all channels and formats
Support the evolution of visual templates and design systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, copywriting, events, research)
Participate in team meetings and creative brainstorming sessions
Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs efficiently
You’ll be a great fit if you:
Professional experience is a plus (not mandatory)
Have a portfolio demonstrating strong typography, layout, and digital design skills
Have a solid understanding of brand consistency
Have basic knowledge of digital accessibility principles
Have experience with photo editing
Are highly organized with strong communication and time-management skills
Are proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Are familiar with collaboration tools such as Slack, Miro, and Canva
Can communicate clearly in English (German is a plus, but not required)
Want to use your design skills to support a nonprofit and community-driven mission
