TryHackMe helps millions of people go from cybersecurity beginner to job ready through hands on, gamified learning.
Today more than 8 million users use TryHackMe to build real cybersecurity skills.
We're hiring a Growth Designer to shape the experience that turns new signups into habitual learners and, eventually, paying customers.
You'll design the systems that guide users from their first click through their first returning session to their first paid decision, working end to end from discovery through shipped experiment.

The Role

You’ll partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers across teams working on the core B2C user experience, particularly in activation and monetisation, including onboarding flows, paywalls, and in-product conversion touch points, tuned to where a user actually is in their first weeks rather than a single fixed moment.

  • Design and run data driven experiments on activation, multi day return, and conversion across learner segments, rapidly prototyping, A/B testing, and iterating with cross functional partners based on hypotheses and evidence

  • Help shape squad strategy alongside the PM, Engineering, and Data

  • Translate behavioural data, room and path analytics, and user feedback into design solutions that reduce friction and drive confident decisions to return and eventually subscribe

  • Conduct user research and usability tests to uncover friction in onboarding, path selection, and paywall moments, turning insights into design iterations and new experiment ideas

  • Collaborate with Content Design on rooms, feature descriptions, and conversion messaging that stays jargon light for people new to cybersecurity

  • Establish activation and monetisation design standards that blend seamlessly into the core learning experience

  • Communicate design vision and rationale clearly, influencing stakeholders including the CEO and Head of Product

  • Integrate AI and emerging technologies to accelerate validation, discovery, and prototyping

What We Value in Designers

Great designers at TryHackMe combine strong product thinking with speed and ownership. The most successful people in this role tend to:

  • Design with conviction - form clear opinions and take responsibility for decisions.

  • Move with speed - share work early, iterate quickly, and refine through feedback.

  • Focus on impact - care about improving the product, not just producing designs.

  • Collaborate deeply - work closely with PMs and engineers to reach the best outcome.

  • Communicate clearly - make your thinking visible so the team understands the reasoning behind decisions.

  • Show strong product sense - simplify complexity and make thoughtful trade-offs.

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years of product design experience, ideally in consumer growth roles

  • High energy and strong sense of ownership, you push things forward without waiting to be told

  • Think in outcomes, not just screens

  • Care deeply about clarity and user experience

  • Strong collaboration skills with PM, Engineering, and Data

  • Proficiency in Figma, comfort using AI tools to accelerate prototyping, experience with analytics platforms is a plus
