YouTube Thumbnail Designer (Remote)

We’re looking for a talented YouTube Thumbnail Designer to join our team and create high-performing YouTube thumbnails across several growing channels focused on technology, AI, SaaS, tutorials, and educational content.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who understands what makes people click, embraces modern AI-powered design workflows, and can consistently deliver high-quality thumbnails on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design eye-catching, high-CTR thumbnails for YouTube videos.
• Create compelling visual concepts using composition, contrast, facial expression, typography, and color psychology.
• Use AI tools for image generation, editing, and workflow optimization where appropriate.
• Generate or enhance visuals using AI image generation tools when required (backgrounds, objects, scenes, character consistency).
• Perform advanced retouching, cutouts, compositing, and color grading.
• Collaborate with producers, editors, and channel owners on thumbnail concepts and title–thumbnail alignment.
• Follow channel design styles and brand guidelines.
• Produce thumbnail variations for A/B testing.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions when required.
• Deliver projects within agreed deadlines.
• Organize project files, layered sources, and reusable templates.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Experience designing thumbnails for YouTube channels.
• Strong Experience with AI image tools such as Nano Banana Pro, Midjourney, Flux or similar.
• Heavy, hands-on experience with AI image generation and editing tools — this is a core part of the role, not a bonus.
• Strong proficiency with modern designer tools (Photoshop,  Illustrator, Figma, Canva, Illustrator, or equivalent).
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous thumbnail or design work.
• Good English proficiency for understanding briefs and feedback.
• Strong attention to detail, typography, and visual hierarchy.
• Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI editing tools such as Generative Fill, Magnific, Topaz, or similar.
• Familiarity with LoRA training or face-consistency workflows.
• Understanding of YouTube CTR, packaging, and A/B testing best practices.
• Experience creating visuals for tech, AI, SaaS, or educational channels.
