2D Animator

Our client is a Barcelona-based iGaming company specializing in the development of online slot games for international markets. With a catalogue of 150+ titles and a steady release pace of 3–4 new games per month, they combine creative vision with strong technical expertise.

We are looking for a 2D Animator (Spine) to create high-quality character, environment, and UI animations for online slot games. You will work closely with artists and developers, polish existing animations, add visual effects, and help improve the animation pipeline, including the use of AI tools for concepts and workflow optimization.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Create and set up 2D character, object, and UI animations in Spine.
• Animate environments and in-game elements for slot games.
• Develop and configure visual effects using particle systems (Particle Designer, Particle Illusion, Magic Particles, etc.).
• Improve the overall visual quality and polish of existing animations (timing, smoothness, readability).
• Collaborate closely with artists, and developers to integrate animations into the game.
• Help design and optimize the animation pipeline, including the use of AI tools where relevant.
• Participate in animation reviews and provide / receive constructive feedback.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a 2D Animator.
• Russian or Ukrainian languages.
• Proven, hands-on experience with Spine.
• Commercial experience creating animations for slot games.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
• Strong understanding of traditional animation principles
• (timing, spacing, squash & stretch, anticipation, etc.).
• Experience creating and animating game UI / interfaces.
• Genuine interest and readiness to use AI tools for concepts, assets, and workflow improvement.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Strong team player, open to learning new tools, technologies, and approaches.
