We’re here to make games where decisions matter and have consequences.  We want to build on the legacy of classic story-driven RPGs while reviving the genre meaningfully. 

Our goal is simple: to become a trusted name in the greater RPG canon. 

With talent from the original Disco Elysium team and veterans from the wider industry, including Bungie and Rockstar, we’re creating something new—a project that resonates, challenges, and leaves a lasting mark.

The role

We are seeking a talented Writer to help craft an immersive, multi-layered RPG experience for our computer RPG in its early stages. The gameplay will focus on dialogue choices, character interactions, and a branching story where every decision has consequences. You’ll be responsible for creating narrative content that combines psychological depth, philosophical musings, and a richly evocative world that brings player choices to life.

Responsibilities

• Write compelling dialogue and narrative events that deepen the connection between characters and the world.
• Develop a rich story that explores the interplay between the physical environment and the protagonist’s mental journey.
• Contribute to building a universe awash in contrasts, where environments from two interconnected worlds reflect each other in direct and mysterious ways.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, programmers, and your colleagues in narrative to ensure the story is deeply integrated with gameplay, emphasising role-play and skill-based checks inspired by TTRPG mechanics.

Requirements

Must-have

• Proven experience in writing for video games, especially RPGs or interactive fiction. Creative writing or screenwriting experience is also highly valued.
• Ability to craft a story that explores themes of psychogeography, human psychology, and the dark corners of society. We want characters and dialogue that are multifaceted, flawed, and profoundly human.
• Ability to develop environments that reflect the character’s internal state, exploring connections between space, mood, and psychology.
• An interest in delving into cosmic mysteries, existential questions, and philosophical ideas about society, power, and individual purpose.
• Capable of working within a creative team, taking feedback constructively, and contributing to the shared vision of the project.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with narrative-heavy RPGs.
• Experience in crafting non-combat gameplay loops that revolve around storytelling, exploration, and character development.
• Knowledge of TTRPG-inspired mechanics such as dialogue reels, dice-based checks, or psychological skill systems.
• Experience writing in media other than video games.
