Summary of Job Duties:

This position functions as the Workday Security Analyst for the Information Technology team. Reporting to the Workday Security Lead, the Workday Security Analyst will complete hands-on functional and technical project activities and provide support to System resources regarding security role administration, integration security, and security audit finding reviews.

This position collaborates with cross-functional teams both inside and outside of HR, FIN, and Student on Workday security configuration and data standards; supports the requirements, designs, configuration/development, operations, maintenance, and testing of Workday security. The Workday Security Analyst problem-solves and troubleshoots issues relating to security and reporting needs, performs hands-on security group, domain, business process, and user security configurations in Workday HCM, FIN, & Student. This position will also support institutions with EIB loads around security role assignments and support institutional users with issues loading this data.

This position will work directly with the Security Lead to demonstrate and test key product features, document requirements and design, provide knowledge transfer to the project team, configure the corresponding functionality, and assist in testing and support roll-out.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

• The educational equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, human resources, business administration or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
• At least three year of experience with ERP or SIS applications 
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Must be able to work collaboratively and travel throughout the State to various UA campuses on an average of once a week as needed 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Three or more years of overall ERP/SIS systems experience with in-depth knowledge and understanding of security administration
• One or more years of demonstrated Workday hands-on security configuration and administration experience, experience implementing or supporting Workday security groups, domains, and security profiles
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Workday's system administration (tenant management, version releases, regression testing)
• Demonstrated knowledge of Workday integrations, reports, and calculated fields

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations including PII and PHI
• Knowledge of the job analysis and security requirements 
• Knowledge of the various Workday modules, report writing, as well as Workday security
• Knowledge and experience in Workday – HCM, Report Writer, EIBs
• Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills 
• Solid analytical skills
• Highly developed problem-solving skills
• Effective team collaboration skills
• Ability to make decisions at the project team level and properly escalate those decisions that cannot be resolved on a timely basis
• Ability to structure work efficiently 
• Ability to provide direction and use interpersonal influences to gain goal alignments with results versus activity-oriented outcomes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to develop complex reports using functions, formulas, and/or macros 
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
