Web Designer

$55–$75/hour, depending on experience

Gemini is looking for an experienced Web Designer with hands-on WordPress and Blocksy experience to support a variety of client website projects. The ideal candidate has a strong creative eye and can turn strategy, content and brand direction into polished, responsive websites. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both shaping the visual experience and bringing it to life in WordPress.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build client websites in WordPress using Blocksy
• Translate brand standards, content and strategy into polished website designs
• Create page layouts that are visually strong, intuitive and conversion-focused
• Build responsive pages that work beautifully across desktop, tablet and mobile
• Make thoughtful decisions around typography, imagery, spacing, navigation and visual hierarchy
• Work within established client brands while bringing fresh creative thinking to each site
• Collaborate with our Creative, Client Success, Content and Search teams
• Incorporate SEO and Search Everywhere best practices into website structure and design
• Make updates and refinements based on internal and client feedback
• Use modern design tools, including AI-assisted features when helpful

What We’re Looking For

• Strong web design portfolio
• Hands-on WordPress website design and build experience
• Experience designing and building in Blocksy strongly preferred
• Strong visual design skills and understanding of typography, layout, color and hierarchy
• Experience designing responsive websites across desktop, tablet and mobile
• Understanding of UX, navigation and conversion-focused design
• Ability to translate an established brand into a compelling website experience
• Comfortable collaborating with content, SEO and client-facing teams
• Organized, responsive and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Agency or multi-client experience is a plus
