Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP, Management Supervisor to lead a portfolio of market access focused accounts. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in market access and payer marketing, strong client leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can connect evolving landscape dynamics, healthcare policy, and value communication needs to business objectives.
Role Requirements
Strategic Client Leadership
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders across market access, payer marketing, value and evidence, commercial, and medical functions.
- Lead the development and presentation of integrated market access strategies aligned with client business goals.
- Serve as a strategic partner for market access and payer-focused clients, developing a deep understanding of brand objectives, access challenges, and reimbursement landscapes.
- Identify opportunities to expand agency partnerships through innovative access-focused solutions and thought leadership.
- Lead client meetings, workshops, and presentations, effectively communicating strategic recommendations and business impact.
- Participate in client-related travel as required, including local and domestic travel, with potential for international travel.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing account team supporting market access and payer communications programs.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages strategic thinking, professional growth, and innovation.
- Provide coaching and guidance on client management, access strategy, and account leadership best practices.
- Manage team workloads and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution and team development.
- Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing career growth for direct reports.
Market Access Program Leadership
- Oversee the development and execution of market access initiatives, including payer marketing campaigns, value communications, reimbursement resources, access education, and stakeholder engagement programs.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Guide teams in translating complex clinical, economic, and value evidence into compelling communications for payer and organized customer audiences.
- Monitor program performance and identify opportunities to optimize strategy and impact.
- Manage account financials and maintain accountability for revenue growth and profitability.
- Ensure all materials meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with strategy, creative, medical, digital, analytics, and scientific teams to develop integrated access solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and flawless execution across all programs.
- Serve as a key liaison between clients and agency teams, ensuring effective communication and partnership throughout project lifecycles.
- Contribute to agency thought leadership and innovation related to market access and payer engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare communications, pharmaceutical marketing, market access, payer marketing, or related healthcare consulting environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in market access strategy, payer marketing, reimbursement communications, and organized customer engagement.
- Strong understanding of the evolving healthcare ecosystem, including commercial and government payers, IDNs, health systems, specialty pharmacy, and value-based care trends.
- Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level client relationships.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen, financial management, and account growth experience.
- Experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Knowledge of digital engagement strategies and omnichannel approaches within market access communications.
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and translate clinical and economic evidence into meaningful customer-focused strategies.
Salary range: $165,000 - $185,000
BGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
