Job Summary:
The Visual Merchandising Manager, Field is responsible for driving consistent, high-quality execution of visual merchandising standards across The Children’s Place store fleet. This role brings the brand’s visual strategy to life by ensuring stores execute outfitting, promotional messaging, and product presentation in an engaging, easy-to-shop, and commercially effective way. Partnering closely with the Director, Visual Merchandising, Field , this role translates seasonal direction into clear, actionable guidance for store teams. With a strong focus on field presence, the Visual Merchandising Manager reinforces standards, and ensures all visual directives are executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with the brand’s value-driven, high-volume retail model.
Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
Fleet Execution & Brand Consistency
- Drive consistent execution of brand visual standards across all store locations
- Ensure all stores are aligned to floor sets, outfitting tables, mannequin styling, and window presentations
- Maintain high standards for folding, size runs, and fixture organization to support a clean, easy-to-shop environment
- Ensure visual execution clearly communicates price value, promotions, and key item stories
Outfitting & Product Presentation
- Reinforce head-to-toe outfitting strategies to drive multiple unit sales
- Ensure product is presented in coordinated outfits that simplify shopping for parents and caregivers
- Support strong color flow, size integrity, and replenishment standards across tables and walls
- Elevate basic and core products through clear, compelling presentation
Promotional Execution
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of promotional signage, price points, and marketing updates
- Validate that stores reflect current offers, multi-buy messaging, and value communication
- Partner with store teams to execute frequent promotional changes in a fast-paced retail environment
Field Support & Coaching
- Conduct regular store visits, visual audits, and walkthroughs to assess execution and identify opportunities
- Provide hands-on coaching to store leaders and associates on folding standards, outfitting, and visual presentation
- Build visual capability within stores to ensure sustainable execution
- Act as the primary field contact for visual merchandising support
Floor Set Execution & Implementation
- Support and oversee execution of seasonal floor sets, new collections, and visual refreshes
- Ensure all visual updates are implemented accurately and within established timelines
- Troubleshoot in-store challenges and adapt direction as needed while maintaining brand standards
- Align visual execution with inventory flow and store-specific constraints
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Store Operations to ensure visual standards are practical and executable
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning to ensure product availability supports visual direction
- Provide feedback to corporate teams on execution challenges, store needs, and opportunities
Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Reinforce and clarify visual guidelines, floor set directives, and promotional updates
- Capture and share best-in-class store execution to drive consistency and inspiration across the fleet
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve visual execution and store performance
- Support initiatives that drive conversion, units per transaction (UPT), and overall sales
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in retail visual merchandising, preferably in children’s or value-driven retail
- Strong experience executing high-volume floor sets, folding standards, and promotional updates
- Proven ability to coach and influence store teams in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel frequently across store locations
Skills & Behaviors:
- Experience in kids, family, or value-oriented retail brands
- Strong understanding of outfitting strategies and multi-unit selling
- Ability to manage frequent change in a promotionally driven retail calendar
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign preferred
- Strong execution and attention to detail

Hourly/Salary
$75,000.00 - $150,000.00
