MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Virtual Technical Assessment Team (VTAT) Analyst to join our team remotely.This is a remote position.
The VTAT Analyst in this position will support warfare systems for US Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. Specifically, work will encompass systems responsible for command and control, navigation, communications, surface to ship combat, countermeasures, fire control, integrated afloat networks, and special purpose (e.g. meteorological).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Participate and coordinate technical approval letters for Ship Alteration (ShipAlts) and Technical Assessment Team (TAT) reviews for Ship Change Documents (SCDs)
Provide support to Virtual Technical Assessment Team (VTAT) Lead in performance of TAT duties regarding Ship Change Documents (SCDs) for Nimitz and Ford Class Aircraft Carriers
Keep VTAT Lead abreast of tasking and discuss shifting priorities, if needed, as well as identify and discuss ways to improve efficiency and eliminate backlog
Provide weekly SCD Status Reports to the VTAT Lead for reporting to the Project Manager for Modernization (PMS 312E) prior to the weekly VTAT Meeting. Provide updates in the VTAT Lead's absence
Review technical data packages, drawings, reports, logistics products, training, etc. and provide technical recommendations
Develop formal presentations to brief senior officials.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent education
3+ years of experience with ship change documentation development and management or similar document control experience
Must have prior experience with the CVN 68 or CVN 78 Class system
Must have experience with U.S. Navy Vessels, preferably nuclear powered ships
Must have experience communicating with both technical and non-technical staff of all levels
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Ship Alteration (ShipAlts) and Technical Assessment Team (TAT) reviews for Ship Change Documents (SCDs) for US Navy Aircraft Carriers
Worked with or at a shipyard, Naval Surface/Undersea Warfare Center (NSWC/NUWC), Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command (SUPSHIP), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), and/or Type Commander (TYCOM) supporting construction, operation, maintenance, modernization, and/or repair of shipboard electrical systems
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance, or ability to obtain an Interim Secret before starting.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $58,000.00-$95,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
