The editor will manage high-volume social media video production by parsing raw footage into engaging 90-second stories using established templates. They are also responsible for quality assurance, captioning, and integrating AI tools to enhance production efficiency.
Video Editor (Social Media & AI-Forward)
Location: Remote (Reporting to NJ Lead / Support from Karachi Marketing Team)
Hours: Full-Time
Software: Adobe Premiere Pro (Mandatory)
Role Overview
We are seeking a disciplined yet creatively sharp Video Editor to lead the daily production of our social media content. This role is designed for an editor who can master a repeatable, high-volume workflow while still bringing their own storytelling flair and creative ideas to the table.
Most of our foundational assets are established—we provide the templates, branding, and scripts. Your mission is to be the reliable "engine" that ensures every 90-second cut is editorially sound and polished. As you settle into the rhythm, we want you to contribute your own techniques to elevate the content and help us explore the world of AI-assisted video.
Key Responsibilities
- Editorial Storytelling: Efficiently parse raw mostly "talking head" footage to identify the best takes. You are responsible for making the final call on which clips create the most engaging 90-second story.
- Process-Driven Production: Execute edits within established Premiere templates to maintain brand consistency, while suggesting creative ways to improve pacing or visual impact.
- Quality Assurance: We expect you to re-watch and polish your work before submission. While perfection isn't expected every single time, we need an editor who catches obvious technical errors, sync issues, or awkward cuts independently.
- Technical Accuracy & Captions: Generate and verify captions for every video. You should have a high attention to detail for spelling company names, people's names, and technical terminology.
- Workflow & Data Management: Manage your remote project backups and exports on our server, including tagging clip metadata and accurately updating project trackers.
- AI Exploration: Help us expand our capabilities by exploring and implementing AI video generation tools (e.g., Runway, HeyGen, or Premiere’s AI features) to enhance efficiency and creative output.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years of professional video editing experience, specifically with social media or high-volume digital content.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro. (We will provide a license if necessary).
- Creative Eye: A strong grasp of pacing, "punchy" social media editing styles, and the ability to choose the best performance from raw takes.
- AI Interest: You have a grasp of (or a strong desire to learn) AI video tools and how they can be integrated into a production workflow.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English is essential for captioning and daily coordination with our US team.
- Portfolio: A link to a website or reel showcasing clean, engaging talking-head or social media edits is required.
Schedule & Team Dynamics
- Direct Reporting: Reports to the Lead Editor in New Jersey (7 AM – 4 PM EST).
- Global Collaboration: Support provided by our marketing team in Karachi, Pakistan for branding and local-timezone assistance.
- Flexibility: We need an editor who can adapt their schedule to receive and edit footage right after we film. Our shoot times vary from 11 am - 6 pm.
Why Join Us?
You’ll have the stability of a defined workflow and established templates, but you won't be a robot. We value editors who suggest better ways to tell a story or a more efficient way to use AI. As you master the daily rhythm, there will be opportunities to take on more complex, creatively-driven projects.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and portfolio link.
In your cover note, please share:
- Your approach to selecting the "best takes" when editing down long-form raw footage.
- Any experience or interest you have in using AI tools for video production.
