Job Summary
SAI is looking for a creative and technically skilled Video Editor who can transform raw footage, product demonstrations, ideas, and concepts into engaging and professional video content.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling both standard video editing and creative/concept-driven video production. The role requires someone who can understand the purpose of a video, develop a visual storytelling approach, and create content that is clear, modern, engaging, and aligned with the SAI brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into polished, professional final videos.
- Perform standard editing tasks including cutting, trimming, sequencing, transitions, audio synchronization, subtitles, and basic color correction.
- Create creative and visually engaging videos for product launches, presentations, marketing campaigns, social media, events, and internal communication.
- Develop videos from a concept, script, storyboard, or rough idea.
- Convert technical or product-related information into simple and engaging visual stories.
- Create strong opening sequences, title cards, end screens, callouts, highlights, and visual emphasis.
- Add motion graphics, text animations, icons, overlays, screen recordings, and graphical elements where required.
- Work with software/product demonstration recordings and make them easy for viewers to understand.
- Synchronize voiceovers, background music, sound effects, animations, and on-screen activity accurately.
- Create concept videos that communicate the vision of a product, technology, feature, or future experience.
- Improve raw or ordinary footage through creative pacing, transitions, visual effects, sound design, and storytelling.
- Produce short-form and long-form content depending on the platform and project requirement.
- Create content suitable for presentations, exhibitions, customer demonstrations, social media, websites, and corporate communication.
- Maintain visual consistency across SAI videos, including typography, branding, transitions, colors, logos, and overall presentation style.
- Review completed videos carefully for visual, audio, spelling, timing, and synchronization issues.
- Manage multiple video projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Organize project files, raw footage, exported videos, graphics, audio, and reusable video assets properly.
- Work closely with product, design, marketing, and management teams to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback.

Preferred Software Knowledge
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

- CapCut or similar editing tools
- AI-assisted video, image, voice, or animation tools
Knowledge of motion graphics, compositing, 2D/3D animation, or basic Blender/Cinema 4D workflows would be an advantage.
Creative Expectations
We are looking for someone who does more than simply cut footage.
The editor should be able to look at raw content and think:
- What is the main message?
- How should the video begin?
- What should the viewer notice first?
- Where should the video slow down or speed up?
- What visual treatment will make the content easier to understand?
- How can an ordinary product demonstration become more engaging?
- What graphics, animation, sound, or storytelling will strengthen the message?
- How can a complex technology concept be explained visually?
The ability to think creatively before editing is an important part of this role.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Video Editing, Film, Media, Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant professional or freelance video-editing experience.
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work.
- Candidates with strong practical skills and an excellent portfolio will be considered regardless of formal qualification.
