Video Data Capture Specialist

Work Location: United States (100% Remote)

Preferred Locations: Austin, TX or Bay Area, CA (devices are located in these areas)

Engagement Model: Freelancer / Independent Contractor

Work Schedule: Flexible hours, based on the contributor's availability

Compensation: USD $12.50 per hour of qualified recorded video

Equipment Provided: DataForce will provide the devices required for all data collection activities.

DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking reliable and detail-oriented contributors to participate in an AI data collection project focused on capturing high-quality, first-person perspective (egocentric) video recordings.

In this role, you will use customer-provided wearable devices to record yourself performing everyday household activities from the comfort of your home. The collected data will be used to train and improve advanced Artificial Intelligence and computer vision models.

This is a fully remote freelance opportunity offering flexible scheduling, provided contributors consistently meet the project's quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Wear and operate customer-provided wearable recording devices while performing daily household activities.

• Record high-quality first-person perspective videos following detailed project guidelines.

• Perform natural household tasks such as:

  • Folding laundry

  • Making coffee

  • Cleaning and organizing

  • Feeding pets (when instructed and compliant with project requirements)

  • Other everyday household activities assigned by the project team.

• Ensure recordings are completed in a controlled environment with minimal interruptions.

• Upload completed recordings according to project instructions.

• Maintain consistent production while meeting all quality and privacy requirements.

• Communicate promptly with the project team regarding technical issues or scheduling concerns.

Role Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States.

• Preferably reside in or near Austin, Texas or the San Francisco Bay Area, as project equipment is located in these regions.

• Be able to work independently from home.

• Be comfortable wearing head-mounted recording devices weighing approximately 500–600 grams for extended periods while performing household activities.

• Be able to produce up to 40 hours of qualified video data per week with a flexible, self-managed schedule.

• Have a reliable internet connection for uploading recorded data.

• Follow detailed written instructions and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Compensation

• USD $12.50 per hour of qualified recorded video.

• Payment is based on approved recordings that successfully pass Quality Assurance review.

• Flexible scheduling allows contributors to work at their own pace while meeting project deliverables.

Equipment

DataForce will provide all required recording equipment, including five (5) devices necessary to complete the project. Contributors are responsible for handling the equipment with care and following all setup and usage instructions.
