This role translates payer, reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, and policy dynamics into portfolio‑specific access strategies, determining the optimal mix of commercial, federal, state, specialty, or hybrid pathways based on product needs. The VP provides executive leadership for specialty pharmacy strategy, including network design, product access, and programs aligned with Sun Pharma’s access and commercial objectives, while serving as a trusted partner to senior payer, PBM, and specialty pharmacy stakeholders to drive durable access and successful commercialization.

Although Sun Pharma's corporate offices are located in Princeton, NJ, this is a field based role.

Specialty Pharmacy & Operations

  • Influence specialty pharmacy strategy, distribution network design, and channel optimization to support access, speed to therapy, and patient experience.
  • Oversee negotiations and contracting with specialty pharmacies to drive utilization and operational performance.
  • Develop and implement innovative specialty pharmacy access strategies that reduce friction across referral, onboarding, reimbursement, and fulfillment, with the goal of improving patient initiation, continuation, and overall access to Sun Pharma products.
  • Establish performance frameworks and KPIs focused on access rate, HUB utilization, affordability support, adherence, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment between specialty pharmacy operations, patient services, HUB, and brand strategies to minimize access friction for patients and providers.

Strategic Market Access Planning & Portfolio Positioning

  • Lead short- and long-term market access planning across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and government channels.

Government Markets & Federal Accounts Leadership

  • Lead and support a team which is responsible for calling on senior-level personnel within federal and state entities to secure formulary access for the Sun Pharma product line.
  • Support contract negotiations that result in executed agreements enabling access, utilization, and growth within assigned government sectors.

Healthcare Policy & Access Implications

·     Partner closely with the Government Policy team to understand, anticipate, and engage on federal and state policy developments (e.g., MFN, pricing and reimbursement reforms) that may impact market access and portfolio economics.
